I've just uploaded all the stories from last years Sparkly Glee challenge, here

Obviously it's a long time since the stories were posted, so please, could you look over your own story and check the details are right? Your name, email address, any formatting issues. I have no problem changing anything that needs doing.

Due to other challenges, Sparkly Glee will be happening in the autumn this year. I hope we'll see you all there.

Just a little bit of info about this comm.

While the sparkly glee challenge is officially over, the comm remains open and we encourage people to claim any prompts that remain. There's no time limit for this, just claim a prompt, write a story, send it to us, then we'll post it here on the comm. We'd love as many prompts to be written as possible, so if you were tempted or worried about the time limit before, feel free to claim now.

It was mentioned that some of the prompts seemed more suited to shorter stories, so the word limit is abolished for these follow up stories, just, be sensible. A drabble won't cut it.

Within the next week all sparkly glee stories will be archived on a website. I'll add any future stories so eventually we'll end up with a site full of happy. Writers, if you've made changes to your stories let me know if you want an updated file used.

That's it. Same time, same place, new prompts next year. See you there!

Just a reminder that stories are due to sparklyglee at gmail dot com by 30th June. Stories must be at least 1000 words and happy. Full of joy. A gigglefest. Ultimately squeeable. Or at least non-angst filled.

We'll post the resulting good cheer on the 2nd of July.

If you finish your story before that date, feel free to come back and claim another prompt. Or if you haven't claimed a prompt get a wriggle on cos the more sparkly delight the better!

Sometimes on a Friday night just eight days before your baby is due the only thing to do is give in to the geek without.

We have 144 prompts, and I have analyzed them for your delectation. Oh, ok... mostly for my own squeefulness. Clicky for pie charts and a graph! )

So 26 prompts have been claimed. Go on... taking a good hard look at these fab stats you know you want to grab one of the prompts if you haven't already!

Sparklyglee is now closed for prompts.

We've got (at last count) almost 150 prompts which is so utterly, fabulously, totally wonderful that I am full enough of sparklyglee to burst. But that would make a mess on my monitor, so I'll refrain for the moment.

Stay tuned as the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] turps33 will be posting the prompts tomorrow, so all you fabulous writers can stake your claim.

The due date for stories will be 2 July 2007. Get ready to gleefully sparkle!

The prompts are now open for claiming!

Behind the cuts are 144 prompts, and just wow. We want to thank you all for providing such a range of wonderful prompts.

A quick rehash of the rules. Each prompt can be claimed by two people, after that it'll be struck off. Stories must be at least 1000 words and sent to us by the 30th June. After that [livejournal.com profile] vaudevilles and I will get them ready to be posted by the 2nd of July, when we'll have a day of happy sparkly glee.

If you finish your story before that date, feel free to come back and claim another prompt. We'd love you to do that, because these are stories that people want to see written. Happy stories with the men we love.

Claim by giving the number of the prompt, I'll note who has what.

Please, don't post your story elsewhere until it's been shared here. After that you can post it anywhere you wish, but we really want one huge dose of new happyfic first.

[livejournal.com profile] vaudevilles and I have had so much fun with this challenge already, and we hope you'll all have fun too. We're here if you need to ask questions and are always available to hand hold or help in any way.

Completed stories should be sent to sparklyglee at gmail dot com

Also, if you see any prompts you think are in the wrong place, give me a yell and I'll change them.

That's it. Go. Look. Claim

This is your reminder about sparklyglee. Prompts are due by 15 April (which for me is tomorrow - but we'll go by US time because benevolent dictatorship dictates it so). So, there's only two days left to suggest your prompts.

We've got some fabulous stuff there already, but I'm sure there are people who have been dreaming about what Brian would do in WWII Amsterdam with AJ, how Justin's sneaker obsession would work if he was a 1950s housewife, just what Chris and Joey did with the giant bear after the celebrity tour and why Kevin leaving BSB coincided with Jive f*cking JC over yet again.

Can you tell I've used up my five prompts already?

ETA: Please post your prompts here. Thankee kindly.

Wooohooo! Sparklyglee is open for prompts. The way this works is that you post a comment for each prompt using the structure below - feel free to fill in as much or as little as you wish for each section of the prompt - whether you get way in depth and give the last detail of the piercing Brian gets for Kevin or the exact way in which Justin finds the diamond ring Lou has buried for him in the sand is totally up to you - but it may make it difficult for the writer to launch off in their happy flight of fancy (of course it could also free people up by giving them structure). So - your choice.

Everyone is free to make up to five prompts each. It doesn't matter if you don't intend to write a fic or if you want to write about seven - share the glee! Prompts are due 15 April.

[livejournal.com profile] turps33 and I will post a list of grouped prompts on 16 April and writers are then welcome to stake their claim. Please, no poaching prompts before then!

My prompt...
* Pairing (including Poly, 3somes, 4somes and moresomes):
* Physical location:
* Any major plot points:
* What's to squee about:

Squee ahoy!

Welcome!

Welcome to [livejournal.com profile] sparklyglee.

This community was created when [livejournal.com profile] vaudevilles and I started to talk about happyfic. We both love the pop community. We love the sparkly boys, we love the stories, we love the writers that provide us with such wonderful stuff to read.

We figured there can never be enough happyfic. Those stories that make you grin as you read, the ones where you clutch at your heart with joy.

We want our sparkly men to be happy. Therefore, sparklyglee!

You'll have noticed that I said the pop community above. This is because this comm is all inclusive, meaning slash, gen and het. Obviously there's more slash, but we want you to feel free to ask for pophet too. We're here for the happy, whatever form that takes.

[livejournal.com profile] vaudevilles has done a wonderful job creating this comm, and I hope you'll all like it here too. There will be an official prompt post very soon, so go read the rules and think what you want to see.

This will only work if we have your help. Your prompts, your skill in writing stories. So let's work together to make July happy.
